Syncing your shifts to an external calendar (iCal)

How to subscribe to your HosPortal shifts in Outlook, Google Calendar, or Apple Calendar.

What this does

The iCal subscription lets you see your HosPortal shifts inside the calendar app you already use — such as Microsoft Outlook, Google Calendar, or Apple Calendar. Once subscribed, your shifts update automatically as the roster changes.

Find your iCal link

  1. Go to Account Settings.

  2. In the iCal subscription section, copy the subscription URL.

Add it to your calendar

Microsoft Outlook

  1. In Outlook, go to Add calendar > Subscribe from web.

  2. Paste the iCal URL and confirm.

Google Calendar

  1. In Google Calendar, next to Other calendars, click + > From URL.

  2. Paste the iCal URL and click Add calendar.

Apple Calendar

  1. In Calendar, choose File > New Calendar Subscription.

  2. Paste the iCal URL and click Subscribe.

Good to know

  • The subscription is read-only — edit shifts in HosPortal, not in your calendar app.

  • External calendars refresh on their own schedule, so changes may take a little while to appear.

  • Keep your iCal link private; anyone with it can see your shift schedule.
