HosPortal offers a version of its software where customers can experiment with different functions and explore different features without affecting their real data. We call this our Mirror site.

It is accessible from a different URL: https://mirror.hosportal.com/. Use your normal login credentials.

The data is a copy of your real data taken every night. So you can make changes and explore functions knowing that the changes you make will be reset overnight.

You will be aware you are using Mirror by the warning orange bar at the top of every page:

Please be in the habit of checking the orange bar to make sure you are using the right site.

If you make changes in Mirror that you really want to keep they will be lost. We have no way of transferring changes in Mirror to your real data. Similarly, we do not have an undo function on the live version of your data!

Some things to note about using Mirror:

  • Mirror restricts the email and SMS messages that get sent. So users and administrators do not get reminders and alerts; any message sent via our Direct Message page will not actually be transmitted.

  • You can add new users but they will not receive invitations to sign in, and they will be removed when the Mirror site is reset overnight.

  • You do not have access to HosPortal's help (smiley-faced) button that is normally visible at the bottom-right of each page after you log in.

  • Performance may be slower.
