Shift Rules

This article is for site administrators to set and manage rules when users can request for changes to their shifts, highlight conflicts

Shift Change Request Rules

As a site admin, you can set the rules to automatically approve, deny or to send a shift change request to be approved.

  1. If there are no rules set, all shift change requests will be denied as default;

  2. The rules that will allow shift change requests to be approved automatically;

  3. The rules that will require approval for shift change requests;

Shift Conflict Rules

As a site admin, you can set the shift conflict rules that will deny the shift change requests even when they are set to be approved automatically under the previous section "Shift Change Request Rules."

  1. See this statement here that the following rules will deny shift change requests automatically;

  2. Add a new shift conflict rule;

  3. Edit a shift conflict rule already added;

Shift Work Rules

As a site admin, you can set the number of hours a user is allowed to work during a particular pay period. Watch this short video to see the shift work rules listed and how to add a new shift work rule wherein you can set the rules by role, roster group and set the limits of number of hours work a user may be allowed to perform within a week or payroll period. Optionally you may also add the rule that checks for the full time equivalent hours.

Payroll Periods

As a site admin, you can set the definition of a payroll period.

  1. View the list of payroll periods;

  2. Add a new payroll period;

  3. Edit a payroll period;
