HosPortal allows you to have a 'Profile' at each facility you work at. This allows you to set your contact details, reminder and communications settings and preferences at each facility separately if you wish. If you are active at multiple HosPortal facilities you can also create a master profile that can be applied across all your facilities and will be used as a default for any new facilities that start to use HosPortal.

Your 'Account settings' are related to you personally, and include such things as your login details and your time zone.

Note that site administrators can see and in many cases edit your Profile settings, but they cannot view or edit your Account settings.

Select either your Profile or Account settings by clicking your name (A) and choosing the appropriate option.

Reviewing and editing your site Profiles

To review your profile at each site, first make sure to select the appropriate site using the site selector (B). You will only see the Master profile tab (C) if you have a profile at more than one HosPortal site.

See more details about your Master profile here.

On your profile page, you can review the following:

Site profile. Edit the email and phone settings for that site, and add pager or landline numbers relevant to a specific site if they have been enabled. Note that you cannot edit your Short Name (the way you appear on the roster) or your Position (e.g. 'head of Department'). To change those contact your roster administrators.

Calendar. Your activities in HosPortal. This is a similar format to what you see on your Dashboard.

User templates. See your personal templates and regular-repeating shift patterns, if they are used at your facility. Mostly these templates are defined by your roster administrators. For those sites that use them, you can add 'available' templates (for offering yourself up for additional work outside your contracted times) and 'unavailable' tempates (when you are definitively not available for work).

Leave: see and manage you leave; apply for leave. Not all facilities use leave.

Roles/Skills/Teams. See your current, future and past roles, and the dates over which they apply. You can see similar data for Teams and Skills if your facility uses these features. Only site administrators can edit your role, teams and skills.

Communication subscriptions. Subscribe and unsubscribe from opt-in communication lists, if your facility uses them. The lists are set up by administrators on the Direct message page.

Communication mutes. You can elect to opt-out of many standard communications. For instance, many facilities will send regular email and SMS reminders for on-call shifts. You can elect to mute communications of various types (e.g. email, SMS, automated voice-call) for various purposes (e.g. shift reminders, event reminders, direct messages, shift digest updates). Note that administrators in some cases can override your preferences, for instance to send you email or SMS messages directly from the Direct message page.

Communication history. See a log of all the communications that HosPortal has sent to you. You can filter by medium (e.g. SMS, email), type (e.g. reminders), sender and date range.

Invoices. For facilities that allow you to send shift invoices via HosPortal, you can see the status of billable shifts and invoices, set charge rates, and determine if you want to automate sending invoices. Further details are available here.

Market alerts. You can set up alerts to be advised when shifts are added to the market. You can set up alerts for different rosters, and determine if you want to be notified by SMS, email or both.

Export. Export your activity over a date range to Excel.
